Do I need to have a book or script finished for this workshop to be worthwhile?
No. In fact, for fiction, it's smart to get an early start on the materials we'll be discussing
- before you finish, in other words. For non-fiction, it's likely you'll be using the
synopses, treatments, and proposals we'll discuss before you write the first word.
What do I need to bring?
Something to write with and on. You can bring a pad or a laptop. We'll have materials to
hand out that will guide you along. Also examples of the good, the bad, and the ugly pitch
materials that were sent to my by agents.
What about pitching to TV and film?
While this is a publishing workshop, you'll be able to use what you learn to create
loglines, synopses, and treatments for TV and film. With some modifications, of course.
What if I register and can't make it?
The slots are limited. If you register then can't make it and I can still fill your slot,
you'll get a full refund. If not, you'll get a credit for the next workshop.
